Susan Kim
Program Director
As Program Director of WiM, Susan is responsible for selecting potential
speakers and then sweet-talking them into giving a speech at our monthly
meetings for free. When she's not twisting some poor speaker's arm, she works as the creative
director for PrizeCentral.com. In her off time (all 5
minutes of it each week), she plays tennis, ice skates, runs, and mountainbikes.
This is necessary because she loves ordering half the menu at Mel's diner
when she goes to lunch with WiM president Sue Levin.
Susan earned her undergraduate degree at Harvard. She swears while there she
never once heard anyone say, "Paaahk the cah in Hahvid Yaahd," but did
recall someone shouting "Get that chowduh outta my trousahs, you bastid."

Mora Chartrand
Membership Director
As WiM
Membership Director, Mora is responsible for growing the WiM membership, managing the member database, and keeping members informed on the current happenings and upcoming events. When she is not working on WiM matters, Mora manages marketing communications and the affiliate program for Zoomerang.com, a Marin County Internet company that provides a free, Internet service that enables businesses and individuals to easily conduct professional-grade surveys, and gather and analyze the critical feedback
necessary to make important decisions.
Mora joined the high-tech community in the 1980s, and started her marketing career working for companies such as WordStar International,
Sybase, and consulting at several other software companies. Earlier career paths included time spent as a California State Assembly
constituent liaison, marketer at various electronics companies, and cook at two Sonoma County restaurants.
When Mora doesn’t have her nose buried in the latest high-tech industry publications or Web sites, you’ll find her reading cookbooks, food
and wine magazines and planning her next dinner party. In addition, she is an avid (make that obsessed) collector of California wine and
student of Japanese saké. Mora hopes to someday combine her love of technology and the Web with a career in the food and beverage industry.
Michelle Estrada
WiM Web Illustrator
Michelle creates the spot illustrations for WiM's website. Her unique style and creative input brightens up our pages. She also contributes her web design expertise and dishes up banner ads on call.
When she has the time, she can be found at movie theatres in San Francisco, watching 2 or more movies in one day. If not, she's usually just hanging out with her buddies, exploring new restaurants, or she goes for good hikes. When her mind is too bogged down and can't seem to juggle, she takes out her sketch book and draws.
Gail Persily

can also find her name on many of the WIM40+ For the Record reports.

Over the past 10 years, the Internet has resulted in tremendous changes in the practice of teaching, learning, and research.
