Call for experimental multimedia developers
Aidan Dai Bonel is seeking submissions for an internet cafe/multimedia space he is currently developing. For the project, he is installing 3 LCD data Projectors with motorized 100" screens, a sound system and 10 PC's running NT for web browsing and displaying multimedia works. An AMX AV control system will be used to control all Audio and video switching with a 4 x 4 switching matrix allowing any input to be diplayed on all or one of the projectors. The facility will be included to control this system (projectors, screens, lighting, audio and video) by lingo via an RS-232 serial connection. This engine will allow artists' Director movies to be retrieved via net lingo over the internet and be displayed in the media space. Also included are various auxilary AV inputs and outputs to accoodate expansion. A live Webcam will provide feedback to designers from across the world.
